Ngamba Island, A Home for Chimpanzees, is found on Lake Victoria, and its major aim is to care for rescued orphaned chimpanzees, mainly from poachers. It’s located approximately 63 kilometers from the capital city, Kampala.
As planned, your guide will meet you and be briefed about the trip. This trip involves boarding a boat to the Island from the shores of Lake Victoria in Entebbe. On your arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and briefed by the guides at the Island and then shortly briefed on how to make your tour memorable, which includes feeding the chimps.
To note, this place is home to so many birds to mention but a few: kingfisher and so many fish-hunting birds.
The fee includes an English-speaking guide (Driver), Lunch with a drink, a permit per person for the chimpanzee’s excursion, and a pickup and drop at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
